Welcome to Bethel Evangelistic Church in Dickinson, TX!
Bethel Evangelistic Church is a church founded upon Biblical principals and doctrine. We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God given to the Christian believer and seeker as a road map in which to abide and live by. We believe the Bible to be the text through which the Christian is able to understand the history, present, and future of the Christian and Secular world according Matthew 5: 18 and John 1:1-14.
We believe in the The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost as three separate parts joined as one God in the Holy Trinity or Triune God. We believe that the Almighty God sent his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to bring salvation, that whosoever believes in him should not perish in an everlasting Hell, but have everlasting life according to John 3:16. We believe the Holy Spirit was sent after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to be indwelled in the Christian believer that they may have power over the wiles of the enemy, our accuser and adversary Satan, according to Acts 1:5, 7-8 and Luke 10:19.
We believe water baptism is necessary as an outward profession of faith and acceptance of salvation. We believe baptism in the Holy Ghost is totally essential to maintaining the Christian Life, according to Luke 16:16.
We believe that it is the will of God that no man should perish but, that every person must make the personal decision to receive salvation, according to Romans 10: 9-13. We believe there is one mediator between God and Mankind according to 1 Timothy 2:3-6 "For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:5 for [there is} one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time."
We believe the Christian should live a lifestyle pleasing to God with devout holiness, the Bible declares: without holiness no man shall see God, Hebrews 12:14. We believe the body is the temple that houses the spirit of God, therefore, we believe that the body must remain pure 1 Corinthians 6:19 "Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" We believe the Christian should live a life spiritually separated from the secular world, according to 2 Corinthians 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you"
We believe in the miraculous supernatural power of God evidenced through the laying on of hands, healing, speaking with new tongues, casting out devils, and other signs and wonders as ordained by God according Luke 16:15-18 and John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."
We believe it is the Christian's duty to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world, according to Luke 14:23.
